Our main intake happens in September, but we do accept children mid-term if places are available. For summer term admissions, priority is given to children who will be continuing with us the following September. If we are oversubscribed, we allocate places based on specific criteria, prioritising children eligible for 15 and 30-hour funding and those referred by the local authority.

The first step is to complete our Registration Documents. These are the primary documents we use to manage our admissions for children aged 2, 3, and 4. We recommend getting in touch early to discuss availability for your preferred start date.

We offer a flexible approach to the Government’s Early Education Funding (EEF). We are open for 38 weeks of the year (term time). To claim funding for 3 and 4-year-olds (or eligible 2-year-olds), you will need to sign a funding declaration. If you are a working family applying for the 30-hour extended entitlement, you must provide us with your eligibility code issued by HMRC.

To give families maximum flexibility, we operate between 7:30am and 4:00pm, and the setting offers the early education entitlements on a term-time-only basis, providing the full 15 hours or 30 hours per week over the 38 weeks a year. Our exact term dates can be found directly on our Term Dates page. The entitlement hours available at our setting are as follows:

Five days (9:00am to 3:00pm or 8:00am to 2:00pm): 5 x 6hrs = 30hrs

Five mornings (9:00am to 12:00pm): 5 x 3hrs = 15hrs

Three mornings (9:00am to 12:00pm) + two afternoons including Forest School (12:00pm to 3:00pm): 15hrs (one day must be a Monday or Friday)

Three days (9:00am to 2:00pm): 3 x 5hrs = 15hrs (one day must be a Monday or Friday)

Yes, we require children to wear a basic uniform to help them feel part of our community. This consists of a Kerswell polo shirt or T-shirt and a sweatshirt or cardigan, paired with plain bottoms. You can purchase these items locally from Schooldays at 94 High Street, Whitton.
